Imagine being an Architect and your next house project comes up and the brief simply states,

“I want a 9 car garage and be able to enjoy viewing one of them in the living room.”

You would probably think erm ok interesting idea, he must have some pretty awesome cars and a whole bunch of money to spend. The owner of this house, called the KRE house, which is in Tokyo, has exactly that and he has one car in particular that he wants to show off and not leave alone in the garage, A Lamborghini Countach Anniversary edition!

The huge garage has one part which is a elevator that will lift up the car parked on it and transport it up and into the living room! Now I’ve seen some people who have some pretty impressive decorations in their house but having a Lambo parked in the corner is just insane!

Now even though my car is not quite as impressive as a Countach (well apparently anyway, I disagree…) I would love to have a lift that took it into my front room for no other reason than too look cool! So erm donations are kindly accepted! It may not be the most ethical gift you have ever got for someone but I promise I will only start it up and waste petrol and smoke out my house a few times a week…

Anyway the pictures! Marvel in the best house design ever.

Right this is on one of my have to do sometime soon lists because well, I have to do it sometime soon! preferably while I’m still able to drive and petrol is still available and hasn’t become a fought over commodity (well a more thought over commodity anyway…) Anyway, I hope to do this one day and I’ve decided I’m going to turn it into an awesome car fan road trip.

Starting off at a track day somewhere in The UK, possibly Castle Combe in Wiltshire, it will be the meeting point for everyone before we all get single seater car rental or Caterhams to do some laps in. Hiring a car will make sure we don’t break our own cars before we’ve even set off, we have plenty of opportunity to break them later…

After the day of that we start to make our way to Dover for a late night ferry ride to Calais, once we land in Calais instead of heading straight through France to Germany we shall de-tour a little bit and go down to Paris. Here we will get some more car hire in France and let the ladies go off for a little bit of a shop whilst everyone else tries to recreate the famous 10 minute sequence from “C’ était un Rendez-Vous”

Of course we will do it a lot slower and not be illegal about it… The traffic might help us stay under the speed limit anyway. Still it is one of the best car films ever and is something that needs recreating!

After the day in Paris we shall have a big champagne party in a big posh hotel with everyone and then set off the next day for our final destination in Germany, The Nürburgring! Here we will finally put our own cars to the test and spend a week racing and watching and filming and hopefully partying every night.

By the way did I mention this will be really rather expensive so YOU can pay for it all. Cheers!

This is absolutely brilliant! Haha!

Citroen Based Rod 519x336 I Still Have Citroen Based Dirty Thoughts

Reading and watching stuff on the net all day and being a fan of most forms of motor sport, including obviously drifting, I have come across the name Beau Yates on more than one occasion and so thought I’d check out some of his driving…

Pretty impressive stuff yeah?!?! I Think so! The Australian drift scene looks pretty good as well, much better than the disused airfields and cones set up we seem to have over here in the UK. My brother has done a lot of travelling in Oz and says it is amazing, so I’ve always wanted to take a trip over and this now makes me want to do it even more and time it correctly for the drift season! The only problem is flights to Australia are sooooo long and I’m a fidgety kinda guy…

The coolest videos of drifting though come from the Ken Block style of filming where there is no competition, just a little make shift circuit and multiple attempts to get the perfect line down on film. This video of one of the American Drift Alliance team having a little practice off season just blew me away! I’m glad the Skating/Moto X/extreme sports style of making driving videos is becoming a bigger thing now. Way more exciting than competition footage.

Just awesome.

I have no idea what this type of bike would be called to look for stuff in a similar style, so if you know comment and tell me! I need to know!

Also this weekend we lowered my house mates MK2 Golf and it is like a different car now, handling and comfort has increased by a billion. Love it.

Abu Dhabi is renowned for its love of motor sports and fast and ridiculously expensive cars, what with the brand new Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that is on the F1 calender now and there willingness to shut down the main road through the city so that Top Gear can stage a drag race. But now they have taken their love for cars to the next level by creating a whole new police monitored town that is specifically for allowing Kids to learn to drive on real roads in real situations! The Abu Dhabi Police unveiled the project at the GCC Traffic Week and is set to cost about $49 million to implement!

Kids Driving 519x389 Abu Dhabi The City Of Driving Children

I think this is just a ploy to create a city of F1 drivers so they can dominate the very wealthy motor sport industry… I think we need to get some of our British kids on flights to Abu Dhabi to learn to drive at such a young age! Create some more mini Buttons and Hamiltons.
