LS2 Powered S13

Do you know what a lot of Jap turbo fans probably hate? 6 litre 400 bhp Chevy V8′s. Oh look an LS2 powered Nissan Silvia s13! Brilliant!

I absolutely love the clean lines of this car and the interior is one of the best I have ever seen!

Found on VisualEchos Flickr. Check him out his pictures are stunning.

Formula 1 Updates!

Singapore Grand Prix 2010 Formula 1 Updates!

This weekend is the Singapore Grand Prix, which means only 5 more races till the end of the season and what a season it has been! The top 5 drivers are all very close with Webber leading at the moment on 187 points and Vettel in fifth place with a very strong 163 points. Button and Alonso are very close as well with 165 and 166 points respectively, and Hamilton is just a few points behind Webber in second with 182 points. How close is that!

The next few races look like they should be good with everyone fighting desperately for the points and hopefully it will come down to a very intense and close race in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the winner will be decided in the last moments and not in Brazil a week before!

Obviously being a Button fan I’m hoping at Singapore that he wins and then it comes down to a fight for first between him and Hamilton for the championship! Although I do quite like Webber as well, just as long as Alonso doesn’t win I will be happy. I just wish I could get time off and jump on flights to Abu Dhabi to see the last race of the season, that would be spectacular and I’m sure Abu Dhabi knows how to put on a party!

Who doesn’t love Racer86′s KP30? The drive by sounds are immense!

Remember a while back I posted about Audi’s attempts to help control the effects of global climate change with their version of the electric supercar? Well it would seem the quite beautiful and awesome R8 based concept, the Audi E-Tron, is not quite as good as most people thought. Especially in France!

Now available in brown

You see the team who made that futuristic name up didn’t do a check on how well that word translates. Unfortunately for Audi in France they have just named a clean and green car the Audi Turd! It isn’t quite the same spelling because the French word is étron but spoken they are the same and the marketing men must be having a hard time trying to think of how to make this cool again in France.

This isn’t the first time this has happened though the Nova was sold in Latin America and the word ‘Nova’ in Spanish translates roughly to ‘doesn’t go’. Not really the ideal name for a car…

Check out the Mitsubishi Pajero for Spain, the Buick Lacrosse in French-Canadian and the Ford Pinto in Brazilian and you can see why it is probably a good idea to triple check these things!

Talking of the E-Tron have you seen the new second version they released way back in January? I missed it then and only just seen the changes they made and I have to say I am liking them a lot! The new version is smaller than the Audi TT and 250kg less than the original design, with a 201bhp and 1954lb ft electrical kick in the backside that will spin the rear wheels up and hit 60mph in 5.9 seconds (yes its also rwd now and not 4wd!) It also looks much more like an actual car now and Audi reckon you will get a 155 mile range and it can charge in 2 hours if you have a 400v power supply. Not bad really for a car designed to keep the climate change and save the planet people happy!

So who’s going to buy one when they are available and be the first to have an electric drifter?

I Reblogged this picture the other day and asked what it is, thankfully the brilliant people on Tumblr replied saying it was a GMC Typhoon which is a pretty rare super truck made in ’92 and ’93 that had a turbo V6 and could keep up with Ferrari’s and Honda NSX’s, not bad for an auto truck! Amazingly they also did a pickup version called the Syclone and I have now decided it is going to be on my ultimate wants list!

However the actual truck in the picture is a highly modified GMC Jimmy (the SUV the Typhoon was based on) and is built as a hill climb car with a big block V8 in it. Awesome!
