Macamedia.tv have just put up a beautifully shot new video, that also just happens to include one of my favourite cars of all time, the Mk1 Escort.

It’s been a while since I’ve put up any videos from Formula D, I think I got a bit bored of all the terrible music laid over them every time – tip for anyone making a film, engines sound much better than dubstep. Luckily Tandem Of Die know this and just put up their Irwindale teaser; it is just 2 minutes of glorious noise and smoke. I’m looking forward to the full DVD because all the teasers have been pretty spot on.
Cool bikes, hot desert and making the most out of all that space. Put it together and you have yet another sweet biking video. (Seriously there are so many cool vids about at the moment!)
Because we read “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost, and were taught that art is a path chosen by those who will themselves into the unknown. Because we watched ‘Easy Rider’ and want to find that for ourselves rather than from a television.
Today we face a world that is unkind to change, filled with the reluctance of apathy. Pioneers are just faceless figurines in museums, rather than part of tomorrow’s manifesto.
There is something to be cherished in our wide open spaces, if only the chance to breathe an unknown air, in search of a new way forward.
Setting out across the West. On vehicles without windows to restrict the scenery. With sincerity on the mind, we will be alone to reflect on past and future paths, only to find that the solidarity of the group will take us another day forward.
Follow us, share your stories. Enjoy the art, and the journey.

“I do know that every time I get out of the Escort, I’ve got a big grin and I think that sums it all up doesn’t it”

What better way to advertise Eastpak than by getting uber cool photographer Dimitri Coste to ride around with his mates on a 1937 Velocette Mack and a 1964 Triumph Tiger Cub in Paris abusing sets of steps and bike surfing on the pavements?

Stephen Brooks is still kicking out excellent footage of the BDC and various other motorsport events (like awesomefest) but in between races he is also doing some very nice feature car videos with the latest one being a short look at the Type 2 Detectives airbagged Porsche 356.
Remember all the pictures that got released a while back showing David Coulthard giving an F1 car a bit of a hard time around dusty Texas roads? Well this is the video that it was all for. Apart from the slightly annoying overuse of slow motion it is pretty ace seeing an F1 car being cained around on really rather inappropriate roads.
