E- wolf e-1

A German car manufacturer called E-Wolf have just launched a new single seater open wheels roadster called the e-1, now with names like that and the heavy use of E it gives a hint that this is no ordinary track day sports car. It is in fact a 150 hp, 500kg battery powered rocket that will propel you to 62 mph in five seconds and carry on until 143 mph!

Its not all Lotus Seven baiting fun though because for some reason the driver has to be under 70kgs, I presume to keep the weight down they had to sacrifice quite a bit of space. The price tag puts it out of most peoples reach as well at 150k euro’s, for a track only car that is a lot of wonga to be spending! With space for only one (tiny) person you couldn’t exactly do your shopping in it.

But not to worry because E-Wolf also have a e-2 supercar in the making, only renderings are available at the moment, but if it looks anything like the pictures it will be stunning, as long as they do something about that fugly rear end, and with more space and 4 electric motors, one at each wheel, giving it 544hp it should go even better and allow you to pick up your mum from a shopping expedition

It’s worth having a quick look at this video about the e-1 as well.

glad to see you’re keeping up with the electric car news, its something that we should all be looking towards to help with the effects of climate change.

climate change and global warming are overlooked by most car blogs, they just stick there head in the sand and promote the use of V8’s as much as possible!

I like to promote the use of new technology’s but that doesn’t mean I hate V8’s though jim! They are amazing!
