F1 Updates – Japanese Grand Prix

This weekends race at Suzuka was pretty awesome wasn’t it?! Petrov, Massa and Luizzi all went out before the first corner was even over! Racing is always more exciting when people crash!

Petrov was the first to go out after he almost steamed into Hulkenberg and ended up clipping him, which sent him spinning off the track. He was later given a five place penalty  in the next Korean GP because the stewards siad the collision was his fault. Ouch!

Then before anyone could see what happened there Massa touched the grass while trying to corner to fast and wiped himself and an unfortunate Liuzzi who got in his way. The grandstand really got there moneys worth at the start of this race, lots of action and all in easy sight.

Hamiltons luck wasn’t great either, after starting eighth due to a five place penalty because he needed a new gearbox the new gearbox decided to fail as well leaving him without 3rd gear with ten laps to go. His hard thought battle back up the field to fourth was still worth it though as he managed to hold on till the end of the race and only let Button get past him knocking him to fifth.

The main excitement though is Vettels win, which means that he and Alonso are both joint second in the championship and neither of them are far behind Webber. Hamilton and Button are both still in with a chance but it would take some pretty drastic mistakes from the three front runners to let them win.

With only three races left it is still anyone’s game and hopefully it comes right down to the wire and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is an epic 5 driver battle for the win, unlike usual where the winner has already been crowned before the final few races have even started.
