Do you know what I noticed today? I noticed that I haven’t heard any talk about a recession or massive debts in quite a while and everyone seems to be all happy with their lives once again. Savings accounts are now a viable option again and current accounts actually do currently have money in them! So obviously now everything is good and you are free of debt it is time to go out their and completely ruin yourself financially all over again and take up some kind of historic motorsport.

Motorsport isn’t cheap but it can be done on a relative budget that won’t turn your kids university savings accounts into a mere glint in their hopeful eyes. And who knows you might actually turn out to be quite good and then you can get help with things like sponsors and maybe even *shock* a race team!

This little MK2 Fiesta Xr2 looks like an ideal little car to get you started with and is according to the advert eligible to race in quite a few different series including Ford XR Challenge, CSCC Tintops, Blue Ovals (BOSS), Scottish XR’s and Stock Hatch etc. It looks like a whole lot of fun on a relative budget and with the car only costing £2,795 you would have more money to cover the costs of joining a series, getting all the safety equipment and transport etc. A proper little bundle of fun!

Of course your kids never really had much chance of going to university anyway and I’m sure they would much prefer having race driver parents than a silly pointless degree. So in which case its time to get your sticky hands into their savings and lets go looking for something a bit more special…
