The Gymkhana Grid Invitational

To keep all the Californian skidders happy during the Formula D off season Ken Block is back and has set up a huge event at  Irwindale Speedway, California. It is going to be a big Gymkhana competition with a static car show backing it up and looks like it is going to be one hell of an event. Sadly I’m going to be sat here on my computer in snowy England while it happens on the 3rd and 4th of December but I will definitely be on the look out for pictures and videos to post up after it has happened (I would absolutely love it if anyone who is from Cali and is going would maybe want to do a guest post!)

The racing will pit drivers from all types of motorsport disciplines against each other in head to head knock out rounds and will be the first Gymkhana event to feature the head to head battles. Two promo vids have been released so far to advertise the event. The first one is Ken Block explaining what it is all about and the second one is a very American style OTT advert. Listen up for the bit about Travis Pastrana… Ha!
