VIP Luxo-Barges

In honour of a mate who has just won himself £1800 worth of massive 7 series BMW unseen from E-Bay I am going to do a VIP style pic dump.

VIP style started off in Japan and is heavily linked to the Yakuza who had to start using JDM cars instead of European luxury cars like the S Class or aforementioned 7 series to make themselves less obvious. Then to make that completely pointless they then modify them and thus make them pretty obvious to the police again.

Nowadays though it is just another style and because of that it is not only the original high end Japanese cars such as the Nissan President and the Toyota Aristo that get styled but all kinds of cars now do. It is mostly still big saloon cars but American and European cars are often given the treatment these days and even little ‘Kei‘ cars are done up in a mini VIP style. Sure some people say they are just VIP styled as opposed to genuine VIP cars but hey I’m not here to argue the politics. A cool car is a cool car.

The main modifications for VIP are very big and very dished, polished rims that fit perfectly flush to the arch with the help of air ride and some pretty mental camber. Ground scraping lowness and subtle but mean looking body kits. And lastly everything has to be black and polished/chrome although white and silver were also used quite a lot. As with all styles it has filtered down now and most coloured cars can still be considered VIP.

Because of the top spec Japanese cars originally used inside was limousine style comfort with tinted windows, plush carpet and all the tech you could imagine, some cars even had elegant curtains fitted! They were the car equivalent of first class flights to Dubai, everything is expensive and everybody knows it!

An Automatic silver 7 series BMW for 1800 quid is just begging for some massive wheels, tints and mega lows and if these pictures don’t make my friend want to do it then he needs to sell up and buy a mum wagon instead!
